  • Gratitude, encouragement, psychology of men and masculinities, Asian American suicide.

My research interests are in positive psychology (especially the psychology of gratitude and the psychology of encouragement), Asian/Asian American mental health, and the psychology of men and masculinities.


Dr. Joel Wong's interests are in positive psychology, especially the psychology of gratitude and the psychology of encouragement, and the psychology of men and masculinities, and Asian/Asian-American mental health.

His focus on Asian/Asian American mental health is of special interest to scholars in SEAS.
