Expertise

Specialty:

  • Cancer Care

Research Interests:

  • Vitamin B3 (Niacin) metabolism and its impact on disease management, treatment and prevention
  • Cellular metabolism and its relevance to health through balanced and informed vitamin supplementation
  • Novel chemical entities as putatives anti-cancer lead compounds

Over the past decade, Dr. Migaud’s laboratory has developed an extensive chemical biology program that focuses on vitamin B3 and its role in health and disease.

Her studies have opened the door to detailed analyses of a number of NAD metabolism processes and helped correlate how vitamin supplements impact health status and recovery following chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment.

Synthetic organic chemist and chemical biologist with expertise in nucleoside, nucleotide, and dinucleotide chemistry and with focused interests on developing tools to probe vitamin Bs' chemical biology and its role in understanding diseases’ pathogenesis and pathophysiology.

My research interest resides in developing modular multidisciplinary strategies that seek to modulate the bioavailability of B-vitamin derived redox cofactors to interrogate biological systems while allowing the traceability of changes.
