My research spans a wide range of geologic topics and geographic locations. Primarily field-based, USA students and I focus on understanding foreland basin development as well as the timing and style of deformation in foreland thrust belts. I utilize sedimentology, stratigraphy, geochronology, structure geology, and geochemistry to investigate ancient sedimentation, sedimentary provenance, and orogenesis.
