His clinical and academic interests include pathogenesis and treatment of epilepsy, cerebral palsy , Rett syndrome, autism, mental retardation, neurocutaneous disorders, and many more childhood neurologic disorders. Dr Maertens performs all neurosonographic studies in neonates and infants at USA and children with sickle cell disease.
