Research Interests:

  • Dr. Schadegg is the Director of the Transdiagnostic Processes and Anxiety Related Conditions (TRAC) Lab. Generally, Dr. Schadegg’s work focuses on understanding the implications of psychological mechanisms and processes on the development, maintenance, and treatment of conditions with anxiety at the core. 
  • Her current research emphasizes: 1) exploring our understanding of the interconnection between emotion regulation and IU in GAD, 2) elucidating the presentation of GAD by examining nontraditional forms of avoidance behaviors, 3) verifying potential processes underlying misophonia, and 4) investigating the connection between misophonia and other conditions. 
  • The overarching goal of this research is to ultimately inform better identification, assessment, and treatment practices for anxiety related conditions.
