Expertise

Emphasis: Shark Conservation and Management, Marine Fisheries Ecology

My primary research interests are in marine fisheries ecology, including assessments of species’ life history, distributions and trophic ecology in coastal ecosystems. Most of my research has been directed towards increasing the effectiveness of management measures for coastal sharks.

My current research continues to explore the mechanisms responsible for this disparity, while addressing management issues through a series of fishery-independent surveys, satellite and acoustic telemetry projects and mesocosm experiments.
