Currently my research efforts are focused upon unraveling the polyphase mid-Paleozoic deformational pulses that assembled the crystalline metamorphic terranes exposed in the southernmost Appalachians of Alabama and Georgia. In addition to detailed mapping and structural analysis, I am conducting a regional geothermometry and geobarometry study from samples collected in amphibolite facies metamorphic rocks, primarily Neoproterozoic garnet-bearing schist, gneisses, and quartzites units mapped in the eastern Blue Ridge belt.
