Currently my research efforts are focused upon unraveling the polyphase mid-Paleozoic deformational pulses that assembled the crystalline metamorphic terranes  exposed in the southernmost Appalachians of Alabama and Georgia. In addition to detailed mapping and structural analysis, I am conducting a regional geothermometry and geobarometry study from samples collected in amphibolite facies metamorphic rocks, primarily Neoproterozoic garnet-bearing schist, gneisses, and quartzites units mapped in the eastern Blue Ridge belt.

Additional ongoing research includes the application of GIS and CAD to the solution of geoscience problems, and the application of high resolution GPS technology to the earth sciences.
