Her research interests include travelers' behavior,consumer psychology, digital marketing communication, corporate social responsibility (CSR) in hospitality businesses. Her current research projects focus on CSR and hospitality employees' stress and well-being. Chen’s projects have been funded by the College of Human Environmental Sciences, the Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development (OVPRED) at The University of Alabama, and the PCMA Foundation.
My past research projects include consumer psychology in hospitality (e-commerce, online booking, and privacy concerns), traveler behavior (travel stress and coping strategies), and CSR (e.g. food waste prevention in foodservice operations).
My current research projects focus on CSR (corporate social responsibility), specifically in understanding employee relations, employees' well-being, and job crafting in the hospitality industry.
