The current research in the ELDEN Lab mainly focuses on numerical cognition and mathematics learning, in addition to wider interests in STEM learning and computational modeling.  We conduct behavioral, neuroimaging, and design-based investigations for our research.

I am particularly interested in how bodily systems support mathematical cognition and the evolution of mathematical abilities.

His research focuses on mathematical cognition, embodied cognition, structural and functional correlates of learning and cognition in the brain, and implications of neuroscience studies for education.
