Her nursing experience includes trauma-surgical intensive care, orthopedics /neurosurgical care, endoscopy, pain management, and surgery. Dr. Owings’ research mainly focuses on transition to practice issues for senior nursing students and newly graduated registered nurses. She is also interested in improving care for critically ill clients.
