Dr. S. Nima Mahmoodi conducts fundamental and applied research in the areas of dynamics, vibrations and control of mechanical systems. His current research is focused on nonlinear dynamics of piezoelectrically-actuated nanomechanical sensors, learning control and automations, multi-agent control systems, energy harvesting using smart materials, and active vibration control of structures with piezoelectric actuators and sensors.
