Dr. Kim’s research interests are Terahertz photonics and metamaterials by exploring light interaction with matters for sensing and imaging application, including THz biomedical imaging for early detection of cancer, metamterials device for sensing, slowing light, novel detectors, photonic, eletronic, neuromorphic devices, THz spectroscopy for fundamental physics and materials science including 2D materials.

Professor Kim’s research group focus on investigating Terahertz Science and Technologies for Sensing and Imaging.
