Her specific interests include the assessment of interconnections between youth violence experiences, suicidal behaviors, substance use, and firearm carriage via advanced statistical techniques (e.g., structural equation modeling), as well as the exploration of social, community, and family-level risk and resilience factors contributing to youth risk behaviors and mental health issues through participatory qualitative methods (e.g., photovoice).
