Dr. Wakeham’s research and teaching includes topics in both criminology and sociology. Within criminology, his research and teaching interests include juvenile delinquency and juvenile justice, youth violence, criminal justice administration, leadership in the criminal justice system, and criminal justice policy and practice. Within sociology, his research and teaching interests include organizational behavior, knowledge and cognition, morality and ethics, and social theory. His current research project examines the problem of institutional corruption in the criminal justice system.
