His expertise is in the area of metabolism with a special interest in Metabolic Syndrome and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM). 

Dr. Sikalidis is particularly interested in clinical nutrition with public health and community extensions. Within that framework he has worked with various populations including, people with diabetes, school children and mothers, college students and student-athletes, firefighters, farmworkers, and general population.
