Areas of Research
- Behavior of Steel and Composite Structures
- Large-Scale Testing
- Multi-Hazard Evaluation
- Space Structures / Extra-Terrestrial Habitats
Dr. Saahas Bhardwaj’s research focuses on the fundamental behavior of structures under multi-hazard loading. He has conducted large-scale experimental and numerical research subjecting structural members to simultaneous multi-axial /multi-hazard loading.
My research interests include:
- large-scale experiments and numerical simulations to evaluate response of structures under extreme multi-hazard loading
- Innovative structural solutions to address amplified hazard levels and novel hazard patterns due to climate change
- performance-based design for multi-hazards
- design optimization of industrial structures
- repair and strengthening of existing structures
- space structures / extra-terrestrial habitats
Dr. Saahastaranshu Bhardwaj's research focuses on the fundamental response of structures to multi-hazard scenarios. He has conducted large-scale experimental and numerical research to evaluate the response of structures to multi-hazards. He is currently working on developing performance-based design tools for concrete filled steel plate composite walls (C-PSW/CF) subjected to fire loading.
