Expertise

Mostafa Dadashi Firouzjaei’s research primarily focuses on the development and application of advanced nanomaterials and polymers for environmental and chemical engineering, with a particular emphasis on water and wastewater treatment. He specializes in leveraging two- and three-dimensional nanomaterials, such as MXenes and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), to enhance the performance of membranes used in various separation processes. Key areas of investigation include the fabrication of thin-film nanocomposite membranes, antifouling and antibacterial surface modifications, and the environmental impact assessment of materials synthesis through life cycle analysis.

Firouzjaei’s research is also dedicated to advancing sustainable manufacturing practices through the application of nanomaterials and polymers.
