She performs research on the correlation of processing (cold spray, laser-assisted cold spray), microstructure (grain size, precipitates), and mechanical properties (strength, ductility) of metallic materials (aluminum alloys and nickel-based superalloys) for repair applications.
Dr.Perez´s research interests are focused on the development of new alloys for additive manufacturing.
