His research interests mostly involve topics of conflict, relational transgression and repair, and social support.

My research interests broadly cover interpersonal, family, and relational communication.  I have also conducted research within intercultural contexts as well.  More specifically, I am interested in conflict, relational transgressions, and repair, including apologies and forgiveness.

His research and teaching focuses on interpersonal and family communication, with a specific interest in studying relational conflict, coping, and repair.
