Expertise;

  • Underserved Communities and Crime

Dr. Matthew Dolliver’s research interests focus on the role of gender identity in the measurement and conceptualization of the gender-crime relationship. He examines the role gender plays in how the public forms perceptions of crime and justice.

His research explores jury decision-making, public perceptions of justice, and advanced analytical approaches to understanding legal and policy issues. He has conducted some of the few experimental studies examining jurors before and after deliberation, providing valuable insights into legal processes and public trust in the justice system.
