Much of her research has focused on identifying factors associated with risk for violence perpetration and victimization. She specializes in conducting meta-analyses and other quantitative research methods.
This work is also focused on domestic violence prevention and intervention.
Dr. Spencer is also clinically active and specialized in the use of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Her clinical specialization includes working with individuals who have experienced trauma.
