His most recent projects examine justice and democracy in the Muslim World, social roots of religious outlooks in MENA, and parliamentary behavior in Turkey.
His research interests include Islam and democracy, legislative politics, Middle East, and Turkish politics. Currently, he is working on two projects about the religious roots of medieval state and the economic determinants of Turkish foreign policy.
I study Islam and democracy, Turkish Politics, and Middle Eastern public opinion.
My research focuses on religion, attitudes, and political behavior. I am especially interested in issues of Islam and democracy, political Islam, religion and democratic attitudes as well as civic engagement in the Middle East and Muslim World. I also specialize in Turkish politics.
