Expertise

My broad research interests include industrial organization in the food and agricultural supply chain, production economics, and environmental economics. My current research focuses on the economic and environmental impacts associated with the widespread adoption of genetically engineered crops. In particular, I look at how the adoption of genetically engineered crops interacts with tillage system adoption and pesticide use. I'm also researching the implications of changing market structure for producer welfare in the corn and soybean seed markets.
