Our laboratory is interested in understanding the mechanisms that promote the systemic RNAi response in model insects using a variety of in vitro and in vivo techniques.
My research interests broadly encompass the physiological and molecular interactions between insects and insecticides. Particular emphasis is currently on mechanisms of RNA interference and uptake of double-stranded RNA in addition to insecticides targeting voltage-gated sodium channels.
Research: Entomology – Studies the mechanisms of RNA interference and how they can be applied to cancer treatment
Expertise: Entomology - Studies molecular mechanisms of insect toxicology
