Research Interests: Geomorphology, soil mapping, soil and landscape evolution, complexity, mountain landscapes
Dr. Temme's core areas of geographic research are in soil geography and geomorphology.
I study how soils and landscapes slowly dance together and influence each other. Specific interests within that field include the computer simulation of the soil-landscape interactions using my computer model LORICA, the path dependency of landslides, and soil mapping methods that are not landscape-blind.
