D.K. Smith has published articles on Andrew Marvell's poetry, the influence of changing cartographic epistemologies on 15th-century drama, and the function of sexual humor in the Anglo-Saxon riddles of the 10th-century Exeter book.
His current research focuses on Elizabethan lyric poetry of the 1590s, while his teaching interests include Medieval and Renaissance poetry, early English Drama, and Anglo-Saxon language and literature.
