  • Experimental studies of aggregation and gelation kinetics in aerosols and colloids, typically using static and dynamic light scattering. Studies of the resulting fractal morphologies and the effects of these morphologies on the light scattering and transport properties. Synthesis of nanoparticles.

  • Light scattering by particles of arbitrary size, shape and refractive index
  • The sol-to-gel transition in particulate systems, the discovery of superaggregates, and aerosol gel materials
  • Aggregation kinetics of particulate systems and studies of the resulting fractal aggregates
