Expertise

Currently, we are constructing novel polymer monoliths containing an array of uniform cylindrical nanopores whose size and surface functionalities can be tuned to collect biomolecules of specific molecular weight range.

Research:

  • Fabrication of controlled nanostructures
  • Single-molecule observations of separation processes in nanoporous media
  • Electrochemical sensing and membrane separations

We are mainly interested in materials comprising nanostructured molecular pathways such as nanopores and nanodomains with dimensions close to molecular and ionic sizes.

Research:

  • Functional Materials, Catalysis, and Nanochemistry
  • Energy, Environment, Agriculture, and Sustainability
  • Spectroscopy, Imaging, and Dynamics
