Expertise

Interest areas include comparative effectiveness, decision analysis, and patient preference

My research focuses on evaluation and improvement of pediatric decision making given resource constraints. Previous projects has included pediatric guideline evaluation and development (tuberculosis, urinary tract infection, MRSA, pediatric HIV care delivery in a resource limited setting, and preventive care), message framing as a tool to impact parental decisions for childhood immunization, and the use of parents as proxy for patient preference in pediatric cost-utility studies. My current work focuses on patients’ preference for outcomes following pediatric surgical procedures.
