I conduct research on aspects of HIV transmission among IDUs. My current projects are with the analysis of networks of IDUs and ssociated population sub-groups.
I am working with the Ministry of Health, Pakistan where my main responsibility is to provie evidence base for strategic and program decisions. Secondaril I work with trainees who I mentor in analysis and use of data for use in programs and planning. My current work has been support for the development of the National Health Policy 2009, the National Strategy for Health Research, The MoH Contraceptives Promotion Strategy, support for the re-design of the National Hepatitis and Lady Health Worker (community outreach) Programs.
I have also helped design the National HIV Project 2009-13, the HIV Monitoring and Evaluation framework for Pakistan, re-design of national HIV surveillance, support in establishing the national HIV treatment and care program.
Besides working wih the government, I conduct research on aspects of HIV transmission among IDUs. My current projects are with the analysis of networks of IDUs and associated population sub-groups.
I also worked with the WHO to establish a system of collating and analyzing data from strategic planning of STI programs. With this project, we have assessed the situaion in 10 countries from the EMRO region.
