A nurse executive with many years leadership experience, Dr. Embree has directed local and system strategic planning in nursing, planned and executed patient safety initiatives, organizational development, physician and employee relations, performance improvement, and regulatory/accreditation compliance activities. Dr. Embree was a Sigma Theta Tau International Nurse Faculty Scholar, and was inducted in to the American Academy of Nurses as a Fellow in 2019.
Dr. Embree is active as a state, national, and international speaker on leadership and lateral violence in nursing. She is the coordinator of the MSN Nursing Leadership in Health Systems Program and interim coordinator of DNP Nursing Leadership in Health Systems Program and faculty for Leadership Practicum Courses.
