Expertise

His clinical focus is caring for children with tumors of the brain and spine and his research interests include nutrition, feeding dysfunction, and supportive care in children undergoing cancer treatment.

As a pediatric oncologist, I am interested in nutrition and supportive care for children undergoing cancer treatment. Weight loss during cancer therapy is associated with decreased muscle mass, increased toxicity, and worsened morbidity and mortality. I am specifically interested in improved screening for malnutrition, standardized and appropriate nutritional intervention, and biologic correlates both during and in survivorship.
