My laboratory has characterized defects in immune regulation mediated via CD4+CD49b+LAG-3+ Tr1 and Foxp3 T-regulatory cells. Furthermore we have demonstrated that mesenchymal stem cells are capable of inducing Tr1 cells and suppressing AAA expansion in mouse models.
