Her research focuses on the socioeconomic and environmental interactions between urban and rural places, including how institutional arrangements governing them enhance or undermine sustainability and well-being goals. Research interests: Urban and regional environmental planning, sustainable development, ecosystem goods and services, institutional arrangements (formal and informal) governing sustainable resource uses, collective action, environmental policy and justice.
