His research looks at the emergence and impact of institutional catalysts within a complex international institutional landscape. By focusing on trade and climate governance, his dissertation explores how the architecture of existing institutional arrangements has shaped the negotiation of regional institutions and how these institutions, in turn, have shaped that architecture.
