Dr. Stevens initially developed an interested in rheumatology during college immunology coursework.
Dr. Stevens' clinical and research interests focus on how pediatric patients with rheumatologic conditions have changes in quality of life from both the rheumatic disease and the necessary treatments. Dr. Stevens is interested in the development of patient centered outcome measures for disease severity and response to therapy.
Dr. Stevens has also been involved in multiple projects working to determine potential environmental determinants of autoimmunity.
