Dr. Gao has had broad interests in liquid state NMR methods, magnetic resonance instrumentation, molecular modeling, and scientific programming. His recent research focuses on multinuclear NMR application to the structural characterization of metal complexes and NMR study of the structure and binding of small peptides to large proteins and membrane mimics.
