Expertise

He is the Director of Forensic Psychiatry for the Department of Psychiatry and specializes in criminal evaluations of competence to stand trial and sanity at the time of the offense. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at the IU McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, where he teaches a course on law and psychiatry, and he teaches on forensic psychiatry and mental health topics to medical students, psychiatry residents, law students, police and jail officers, lawyers, and judges.
