Dr. Carpenter’s research has focused on non-hormonal treatments for menopausal hot flashes. She created and tested ways of measuring hot flashes, created and tested theories to use in research, and has tested treatments for hot flashes and other menopausal symptoms. She has extensive experience in scientific writing and grants reviews and is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of nurse scientists.
