Dr. Karp is a board certified nephrologist and an associate professor of clinical medicine with the Indiana University School of Medicine. Her clinical interests include acute renal failure, chronic kidney disease (CKD), fluids and electrolytes, diabetic kidney disease, end-stage kidney disease (ESRD), glomerulonephritis, home dialysis, hypertension and lupus.
My primary research interest is in preventing chronic kidney disease progression, treatment of diabetic nephropathy, and improvement in the care of patients with end-stage renal disease. I am involved in multi-center clinic trials in chronic kidney disease, diabetic nephropathy and dialysis.
My principle interest is in the clinical care of patients with Chronic kidney disease, Renal disease in the setting of pregnancy, glomerulonephritis, hypertension, critical care nephrology, and electrolyte disorders.
