Dr. Wood takes care of patients at Riley Hospital for Children with a variety of infectious diseases, including pneumonia, bone and joint infections, sepsis and infections in immunodeficient patients. 

Dr. Wood's research is focused on the immune response, epidemiology and clinical care of children with Staphylococcus aureus infections, including MRSA. He is interested in improving clinical care of patients with bone and join infections as well as the development and implementation of novel diagnostic, therapeutic and vaccine targets. He is also interested in the pathogenesis and treatment of Kawaski Disease.
