Expertise

My research interests in GI oncology include optimizing methods of delivery of liver SBRT and finding predictors of response that can be used for treatment selection. Other areas in GI oncology include integrating Vitamin D supplementation into management of locally advanced rectal cancer. Additionally I have interests in using molecular information to better characterize patients with gliomas and incorporation of early palliative care into advanced glioma management.

Dr. Rhome's clinical interests include treating patients with breast, liver and gastrointestinal tumors as well as primary and secondary tumors in the brain.

Highlighted topics include gastric cancer, glioblastoma, pituitary adenomas, and treatment of patients with both inflammatory bowel disease and cancer.

His clinical and research interests are focused primarily on liver, gastrointestinal, breast and brain/spinal cord tumors.
