My research is focused on improving diagnosis and treatment of older adults with cognitive impairment and Alzheimer disease. I have led and collaborated on cross-national studies on the prevalence, incidence, and risk factors of Alzheimer disease and on randomized clinical trials of behavioral and lifestyle interventions to maintain and improve cognition and daily function in older adults.

Research:

  • Epidemiology of cognitive impairment, Alzheimer disease, and stroke. Neuropsychological test (and battery) development and normative studies. Clinical trials of behavioral and lifestyle interventions to maintain and improve cognition in older adults.
