My long term research interests include understanding immunological responses to the invasion of pathogens and tumors, and how modern lifestyle alters the immune system.
My research interests are focused on how CD1d-mediated antigen presentation to NKT cells is impacted by immune evasion in cancer as well as in viral infections.
My future research will focus on understanding in more detail the mechanisms by which CD1d-mediated antigen presentation is regulated normally, and how CD1d+ myeloma tumor cells are impaired in their ability to present antigen to NKT cells.
