He maintains a strong interest in thyroid disease and is a member of the American Thyroid Association and the Endocrine Society. His interests also include computer programming as he was the first to develop both the hardware and software to do automated quantitative image analysis in 1979 and has produced several endocrine related Apps (available in Apple App Store) for diabetes and thyroid management.
