With Friedman and Wand I authored a programming languages text that emphasis the use of interpreters and syntactic transformations toexpress semantic concepts.
More recently I have worked with Venkatesh Choppella on type error diagnosis. Currently my primary interests are the abstraction andimplementation of GUI patterns, Java-based programming frameworks, particularly using the Eclipse IDE, and constraint-based graphic environments.
