My research focuses on alcohol and alcohol related behaviors utlizing selectively bred lines of mice. These mice are used to model a family history of alcoholism and thus contribute a genetic component to various behaviorlal neuroscience experiments. The majority of my work has examined how differing lengths of alcohol exposure prior to instrumental training effect the expression of habitual behavior in spite of negative consequences.
