This experience, along with clinical experience in the Rhode Island TB clinic, drove his interest in HIV and tuberculosis and had a huge impact on his life and career plans.
His areas of interest include program development and health systems strengthening in resource-poor settings, clinical and operational research in tuberculosis and HIV, global health training and education, and antimicrobial stewardship and infection control.
