Dr. Sikandar Khan’s area of research interest is delirium in the intensive care unit. This includes delirium diagnostics as well as non- pharmacological interventions to reduce delirium. His current research is focused on design and delivery of personalized music in the hospital setting, and the effect of music on delirium and health outcomes in patients with shock and respiratory failure.
His work also includes classical music implementation at the Sandra Eskenazi Center for Brain Care Innovation.
Dr. Khan’s research interests also include biomarker discovery for further definition of delirium pathophysiology.
