Expertise

Dr. Lash has worked in nursing professional development, education, and research promoting clinical inquiry and clinical excellence among nurses in both community hospital and academic medical center settings. Her research is focused on health services research and particularly ED utilization among oncology patients. She remains an active member of the Emergency Nurses Association and currently serves on several national workgroups within the organization.

My primary research focus is patterns of Emergency Department (ED) utilization by recently diagnosed oncology patients, including predictors of ED use in this population.
